Job Description
The 250 MW BESS (storage) project to build 2025 and 2026 around Northwest Italy.
Job Responsibilities
The Director of works must:
1. Take the lead and supervision of the works under all legal effects, with particular reference to the provisions of the 2018 NTC and DL 1086/71.
2. Accept, pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 81 of April 9, 2008, the delegation of functions from the Client, acting as the person responsible for the works ("Construction Manager") for the implementation phase of the Facility.
3. Be a qualified professional, technically capable, experienced, and competent, based on previous work as a construction manager and construction supervisor in the field of civil works and/or industrial plants.
4. Review project documentation (definitive project, executive project, and detailed construction drawings) and verify compliance with current legal provisions.
5. Oversee all construction and assembly activities, ensuring compliance of the work throughout all execution phases with legal provisions, as well as with permits and public administration acts, technical standards, and best practices, sharing observations with the Client and incorporating any comments received.
6. From the appointment, conclude and maintain an active ten-year insurance policy covering professional liability as per Article 129 of Legislative Decree No. 163 of April 12, 2006.
7. Address notifications from the Contractor regarding specific work that may pose risks to people or property in the intervention areas and implement the necessary precautionary measures.
8. Conduct appropriate management and supervision checks of the execution of the works at least bi-weekly, also considering the type and quality of materials used, as well as the execution methods, in reference to the conditions set forth in the EPC, ensuring the successful completion of each execution phase.
9. Attend the execution of concrete cubes by the Contractor during the casting on site and the related concrete strength tests.
10. Prepare a monthly construction management report to be made available to the Owner's Engineer, including updates regarding design and progress of the works, reporting any non- compliance issues with:
a. current legal provisions,
b. permits and acts of the public administration,
c. applicable technical standards.
11. Agree with the Contractor, with prior authorization from the Client, on any changes requested by the Contractor that deviate from what is stipulated in the EPC.
12. Review, if deemed appropriate, the payroll and personnel records of the Contractor's employees, as well as the documents confirming the payment of salaries and contributions to insurance and welfare institutions.
